NY – Have a hankering for a five pound chocolate bar? Wondering where to pick up some Strawberry Pop Rocks these days? Everyone knows Dylan’s Candy Bar is one-stop shopping for all your candy favs to-go, but now there’s a new place in town to spend an afternoon with your kids and it promises to send you home on a serious sugar high.
Dylan’s has opened The Candy Cafe, located on the second floor of their 3rd Avenue flagship store. You can order plain old cheese, pepperoni or vegetable pizza or if you’re open to something different, try their dessert pizzas that include S’mores, Banana Splits and the Dirt Pizza (chocolate pudding, gummy worms, cookie crumbles and sprinkles). They’ve also got an assortment of homemade ice creams and Sundaes and have a delicious twist on Frozen Hot Cocoa that gives Serendipity down the street a serious run for its money. Check out their entire menu here.
And to make sure adults have some fun too, they’ve whipped up some candy-inspired cocktails at the brand new Candy Bar! Sip on a Root Beer Floatini, a Grape Nerds Crush or a Pink Cotton Candy any time, or drop in on a week day between 5-8 PM to indulge in their $6 Happy Hour specials. Be sure to check their website in advance as they do close for private events periodically.
