Get a Kick Out of Toms

Blake Mycoskie Putting New Shoes on Kids in Need

“Give, Get” — isn’t that what our parents would say? We don’t know about you, but we heard it often from ours. And we think maybe Blake Mycoskie might have heard it too! Who’s he you may ask?  The founder of Toms, of course.

While vacationing in Argentina, Blake Mycoskie (check out his book, Start Something That Matterssaw children walking around with no shoes. When he returned to his home in Los Angeles, he decided to start Toms, which donates a pair of shoes for each pair sold. Millions of shoes have been given away in countries like South America, South Africa, Ethiopia and more.

Toms Classics

What began as a very simple shoe (now known as the “classic”), has evolved into many more styles, all without a heavy price tag.  From the ballet slipper to glitter to wrap boots to the new strappy wedges this season, there’s a lot to choose from.  Also, various artists are signing up for signature shoes, such as Gabriel Lacktman and Tyler Ramsey.

Toms’ Give One Get One EyewearToms has also branched out into eye wear and has brought eye sight to 53,066 (at last count) with the same buy one, give one concept.

Being able to shop and give back at the same time is an inspired concept: feel good by making the world a better place while getting a little somethin’, somethin’ for yourself.   SIGN.US.UP.  And spread the word!
