Cheap Chic Shopping for Fall

Jess Zaino, Style Producer on The Chew

NY – While New York City is beautiful all year round, it’s the crisp air and changing leaves of Fall that make a stroll through the city especially magical. The whole of New York state may have their apples and hiking, but we’ve got the downtown shopping mecca of Soho. And a trip to New York doesn’t need to mean your annually salary being spent. As a Shopping Expert and creator of Cheap Chic Shopping Tours, we revel in making you look amazingly Fall fresh for less.

    Duane Reade

I love to start clients off at a pharmacy like the inconspicuous Duane Reade on Broadway and Houston. It’s what I like to call pharmacy chic. Tights and leggings are a terrific way to take your Summer wardrobe into cooler temps, and in the back of this corner drug store, you’ll find fashionable prints, cool colors and flattering opaque tights to cover all of your hosiery needs. And at $2 – $10 less than the local discount store, Duane Reade is a Cheap Chic Shopping favorite.

    Street Vendor Shopping

There is no easier way to welcome cooler weather in style than with a new pashmina, hat and trendy, new sunglasses from a Soho street vendor, found along Broadway. All priced at $10 or less, you can bring Fall in with a black cat-eye, luxurious Oxblood Red scarf and a knot hat, hip-ly placed just so.

Want to stop for a Cheap Chic treat? Baked by Melissahas a kiosk on Spring St. that serves up delicious $1 mini-cupcakes. So fab.

UNIQLO on Broadway has amazing Fall fashion offerings for so little. This season’s trendiest Army-green Military Parka, a creamy cable-knit sweater, or oodles of new tops to layer for Fall and Winter for $4.50, are found in this Japanese transport, which will fill all your Fall’s basics.

    Mystique Boutique

Looking for a bootie with fringe or those sexy smoking slippers you see on the trendy set? Head to the back wall of shoes, hidden away at Mystique Boutique. They offer any and all of your favorite Fall looks at $30 or less, including a Hunter-inspired boot for $10.

If your closet needs a little pizzaz this season (or if you know someone who could use a little style help) book a Cheap Chic Shopping Tour and you’ll be styled head to toe in the latest Fall fashions for $100 or less!  If you’re just looking for some new tricks to transition to Fall with what you already have, check out my Warm to Cooler Weather Wardrobe Tips.
